ADB will finance a construction of 24-kilometer road of Kvesheti-Kobi, the industry element of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda motorway. The project involves generating a 9-kilometer tunnel.

It really should be noted that Maia Tskitishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Irakli Karseladze, Head of Road Department, and representatives of ADB mission visited from the site. The designing works are financed by World Bank (WB). Driving time on Tbilisi-Larsi road will decline by Sixty minutes.

Meeting have also been held at Secretary of state for Regional Development and Infrastructure as well as the Parties discussed finished, ongoing and planned projects as part of urban services development investment program. The parties also discussed large-scale water supply and sewage projects financed by ADB.

Over the last Several years ADB has invested more than 2 billion USD in Georgia.

The meeting was attended by Infrastructure Minister Maia Tskitishvili, Verner Lipakh, director general for ADB central and western Asia Department, Ieshin Elhan Kaialari, director for ADB representation.
