US beverage brand MatchaBar has anchored $8 million in a Series Some sort of funding round as it endeavors to rapidly expand their line of bottled and dropped matcha drinks.
The round was brought by a roster of movie star investors, including musician Diplo, actor or actress Ansel Elgort and American footballer Von Miller. These people join Drake who invested in the brand last year.
To coincide with the money, MatchaBar has launched Hustle, a sparkling matcha energy drink from a 12oz can.
Brothers Max and Graham Fortgang started MatchaBar in 2014, creating a matcha caf in Ny. The brand launched a ready-to-drink form of its matcha beverages inand its bags are sold to more than 1,000 accounts, including Sector.
